Yarthe Campaign Setting

A retro-futurist steampunk / gaslamp fantasy setting for 5th Edition (and Kobold Press' Core Fantasy Roleplaying / Tales of the Valiant), the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game (1st edition), and Pathfinder Second Edition, set in an alternate history version of the Industrial Revolution.

Yarthe is a world where magic and technology combine, where airships and spice-trading caravans journey across the world while magic impels a burgeoning industrial revolution forward, and eldritch horrors from outside the universe scratch at the edges to get in. Cultists employ corrupted Nightmare magic to bring terrible entities into the world, while secret organisations across the continents work to stop them and hunt down the creatures twisted by their eldritch patrons. Magicians research the lost technomagical artefacts of the ancient Lemuan civilisation, sunken beneath the oceans and known only to the mysterious sea-folk, while the modern Technomancer clans of the Taiga Forest create new wonders, and subterranean Ghost Elves run smuggling routes along the underground rivers of the Deeps in their submersible U-boats.
